Croquet in Passage East — village and the car ferry on the River Suir, Co. Waterford

Passage East is a charming riverside village tucked beneath wooded hills on the Suir estuary, with grand views across the water to Wexford and the little car ferry coming and going. It's a close-knit community — exactly the kind of place a friendly croquet club belongs.

A sociable new club on the Suir

South East Community Croquet is bringing the game to Passage East as one of three clubs along the Waterford coast. Croquet is as much about the chat and the company as the competition — come for the croquet, stay for the craic. It's a lovely, low-key way to meet your neighbours and enjoy an afternoon outdoors by the water.

Who it's for

Everyone is welcome, whatever your age or experience. Croquet is one of the only games where children, parents and grandparents genuinely play together as equals, because tactics and a steady hand beat strength every time. You don't need any kit — we provide the mallets and balls, and we'll teach you the basics.

The club is now forming — be a founding member

We're gathering founding members in Passage East right now. Register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as the first taster sessions are scheduled. No commitment, no cost to register.

How to get started
